William Choi

Chief Executive Officer

A gifted professional with an impressive combination of artistic, communication, and entrepreneurial skills, William brings decades of experience to his role as CEO. The inspiration to pursue a creative life started at an early age through the encouragement of his father, a successful Hong Kong businessman. A native of Hong Kong, William moved to California and supported himself as a chef while earning a design degree at Cal Poly Pomona and an MBA at UCLA, where he gained a strong foundation of business and design skills. He later discovered his love for Real Estate while building his dream to build the best community.

Richard Zarate

Chief Operations Officer

Richard brings his experience in the residential construction and civil engineering industry having held positions in various aspects of building from the foundation, framing, electrical, and roofing. In his civil engineering career he focused on conceptual development planning, topographical mapping, and preliminary residential density alternative for city council approvals utilizing industry-specific software; ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and MicroStation.

Currently, his focus is the systems operations, vendor management, and all aspects of achieving a consistent customer pipeline.

Alex Miller

Chief Architect

Alex worked for more than 15 years in the design field with various architectural firms. He was self-employed for several years, operating his own design firm, which specialized in high-end residential projects. Alex holds a BArch from Cal Polytechnic University Pomona, where he majored in the School of Environmental Design. His extensive experience includes design and space planning, project management, construction document preparation, subcontractor coordination, and plan permitting. His technical skills and wide ranging experience in the residential design field help to ensure a smooth process and memorable experience for JDR’s clients.

Danny Tabibi

Chief Designer

Danny, a Senior Interior Designer for Jackson Design and Remodeling, is a talented, award-winning professional with a strong architectural background. He has built her impressive career during more than 12 years of experience in interior design and is responsible for multiple projects that have received regional and national recognition. He has worked with clients on projects ranging from bathrooms and kitchens to whole home remodels. His projects have been honored by ASID (Design Excellence Awards), NARI (CotY Awards), Qualified Remodeler Magazine (Master Design Awards), and the Chrysalis Awards.

John Protor

Production Director

An Air Force veteran of the Gulf War era, John brings considerable leadership and strategic skills to the production team. After his eight years of military service, John earned a degree in Management, graduating with honors. John brings these skills, along with more than two decades of experience in the construction industry, to his position as Production Manager. During his years in construction, John has continually acquired greater responsibility in each successive position, developing his expertise in management, technical and communication skills, as well as hands-on production work.

Betsy Miller

Interior Design Director

Betsy is a savvy problem-solver who develops innovative, thoughtful solutions. Her capacity for balancing the details of a project with the overall goals makes her an inspiring and effective director. Her wealth of knowledge allows her to imagine a myriad of possibilities for a space. Because she believes that teamwork engenders the best ideas, she deeply values establishing excellent relationships with team members and clients on each project. Her ability to connect and communicate helps her understand and interpret clients’ visions for their homes and determine inventive ways to realize goals.


Building an ADU can be a complex project, particularly when you include the varied and extensive laws enacted in local states. Our team are here to provide a fully managed “turn key” solution. This will involve us supporting you from project conception through to completion and beyond.
